OPEN CONSENSUS FOR 10B PEOPLE.
Harmony is going to be the first to fulfill the requirements of the Internet and the fifth-generation of IoT (5G). They are developing a blockchain with a maximum performance scalable up to 10 million transactions per second with a 100-ms delay and charge no more than 0.1% commission. The project intends to increase the existing parameters of blockchains by 1000 times, developing a next-generation decentralized economy capable of serving 10 billion people and 100 billion devices. They plan to do this by offering linear scaling across network nodes using Google UDP, OmniLedger and Rust. It is worth to note that Harmony does not develop anything fundamentally new, but uses existing developments:
Omniledger - a decentralized protocol using sharding, it will provide scalability. It currently works with 13,000 tx / sec and 1.5 with a delay of 1800 hosts.
At the moment, the OS kernels written in Rust allow you to maintain 10 million simultaneous connections on a standard 96-kernel machine on Amazon Cloud.
Harmony believes that by applying technical innovations that have already passed research and implementation, they will be able to create a high-speed and inexpensive blockchain infrastructure that can support the real-world industry.

Stephen Tse, CEO. He has been obsessed with protocols and compilers since high school. He has been redrafting the ICQ and X11 protocols encoded in OCaml during 15 years. He was a researcher at Microsoft Research, a senior infrastructure engineer at Google, and a chief search engineer at Apple. He founded the mobile search engine Spotsetter, where he worked for 3 years, then Apple acquired a startup, and Stephen worked there for another year.
Alok Kothari, Co-Founder. He taught Apple Siri to understand natural language (deep learning). He studied the ambiguity of the meaning of words and machine translation. His research paper received the best award on the database at ICWSM 2013. Alok spoke at leading conferences, including SIGIR, ICWSM and EMNLP. He also published the best-selling book Game Changers, telling about successful graduates of his alma mater, IIT Kharagpur (India).
Nicolas Burtey, Co-Founder. He has a bachelor's degree in mathematics and computer science, as and also a master's degree in computational photography. He started as a freelance photographer and creator of virtual tours. Then he founded the Orah company, which develops and sells software for creating video content in the field of virtual reality.
Rongjian Lan, Co-Founder. He holds a bachelor’s degree from University of Science and Technology Beijing and a master’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Maryland. For 4 years he has been working as a software engineer at Google. Since February, he has been co-chair of the ABC Blockchain Foundation, a non-profit organization that promotes blockchain technology.
Three more team members are involved in the project on a part-time basis. They are very strong technically experts with experience in IBM, Microsoft, Google, Alibaba Cloud. The team is very strong technically, with a great experience in the fields of AI, machine learning, blockchain, virtual reality and compilers. Almost everyone has a Senior Engineer position in different companies. There is a lack of marketers, tellers and promoters, but vacancies to these positions are open.
Zi Wang has been working at Google from 2006 to 2015 on Chrome, Google [X], Android and Nexus products. He was the first global creative director of hardware division at Google and one of the founders of the Google research lab with a budget of $20 million.
Isaac Zhang is CTO, Co-Founder of the Locision startup - cloud solutions for corporations to increase productivity, profitability and optimization internal processes.
