In October 2018, Google Ads will amend the rules on the provision of advertising services to cryptocurrencies and allow regulated cryptocurrency exchanges to buy advertising in the US and Japan.
For successful advertising you will need to be certified in Google for the country where the ads will be presented. You can apply for certification in October after the rules update.
The updated Google policy applies to advertisers around the world, although ads can present only in the US and Japan.
Google's initial restrictions, which were announced in March and deployed in June, were designed to protect consumers and included ICO, wallets and trading tips that are still banned.
