Eris exchange is opening cryptocurrency trading platform


Eris exchange, futures exchange based in Chicago, with the support of DRW, Virtu Financial and TD Ameritrade, is opening the ErisX platform for trading cryptocurrencies.

The ErisX platform will allow investors to trade Bitcoin, Ethereum, Bitcoin Cash and Litecoin, and also futures contracts on cryptocurrencies.

DRW, which Cumberland division is one of the world's largest crypto traders, and Virtu agreed to be market makers at ErisX, which will help to increase liquidity on the exchange.

ErisX is committed to self-certifying new contracts with the US Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). If the appropriate permissions are granted, trading will begin in the second quarter of 2019.
