Privacy Policy

Infium is an invite-only secure messenger operated on infium.net. This policy describes what the Infium apps (iOS, macOS, Windows) and server process.

Who operates the service

Infium is a private, invitation-only community. Accounts are created by administrators; there is no public open registration. Contact: admin@infium.net.

Data we process

Account identifiers — your XMPP address (e.g. name@infium.net) and password, stored for authentication.
Messages and attachments — end-to-end encrypted with OpenPGP (OX-IM) where enabled; the server relays encrypted payloads and may store encrypted archives (MAM) for multi-device sync.
Push notification tokens — Apple Push Notification device tokens so you can receive message alerts when the app is in the background. Notification payloads avoid message content where possible.
Presence and profile data — status, avatars, and vCard fields you choose to publish to contacts.
Technical logs — standard server logs (connection times, errors) for reliability and abuse prevention. We do not sell data or run advertising analytics.

Data stored on your device

The apps cache conversations, keys, and credentials locally (encrypted storage / OS keychain) so chats work offline and start quickly. You can sign out to remove session credentials from the device.

Third parties

Apple — TestFlight / App Store distribution and APNs delivery for iOS/macOS push.
No third-party ad networks or social trackers are embedded in the client.

Retention and deletion

Messages retained on the server follow administrator policy and MAM settings. To delete your account or request data removal, contact admin@infium.net.

Security

Traffic uses TLS. Message encryption uses OpenPGP. Push and upload endpoints run on infrastructure controlled by the Infium operator.

Children

Infium is not directed at children under 13. The service is invite-only for known participants.

Changes

We may update this page; the “Last updated” date will change. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
