Infium 0.9.33: a quiet update, and iOS takes a step closer

2 October 2026 · 2 min · release · 0.9.33

Infium 0.9.33 is out for macOS and Windows, and it is a small one on purpose. Open the app after it lands and you will not spot a single difference. Your chats, your history and your settings stay right where you left them, and there is nothing to reinstall or set up again.

If you already run Infium, the desktop app will offer the update by itself, through Sparkle on macOS and WinSparkle on Windows. Just accept it and carry on.

The part that actually matters: iOS

Every app has to tell Apple how it handles encryption before a build is allowed through review. It is paperwork rather than engineering, but without it a build simply does not move. This release fills in that declaration for the iOS version of Infium.

What that means in plain terms: iPhones just got closer. If you have been waiting to run Infium on your phone, this is the unglamorous step that was holding things up, and it is now done.

Past that, we tightened a few small things under the hood so the app stays steady from day to day. No new buttons, no moved menus, none of the usual reasons to relearn your own messenger.

Getting it

The full notes live on Gitea. And if you are already on Infium, you can ignore all of the above and simply let the app update itself.
