Joyce Kim, PhD, is a leading expert and innovator in using Machine Learning for human comfort and behavior prediction. Her PhD thesis on the use of IoT devices and Machine Learning to personalize comfort experience in smart buildings has led to a new field of research - Personal Comfort Model. Prior to this, Joyce was a researcher at Lawrence Berkeley National Lab where she led projects related to Smart Grid and utility cost optimizations.
Joyce has a PhD in Building Science from University of California, Berkeley. BSc in Engineering from the University of Waterloo, Canada.
